Colorado locations supported for paid checkout
This article explains BorrowHive product behavior. It is not legal or tax advice.
Colorado has some locations where the state handles local sales tax and some cities that run their own local tax programs. BorrowHive can only support Colorado paid checkout in reviewed locations where BorrowHive has completed the required tax review.
BorrowHive keeps city-run tax areas off for paid checkout until each city has been reviewed and staff turns on support for that city. Centennial has been reviewed for future paid support, but it is still off by default. Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Lakewood, Fort Collins, Littleton, and other city-run tax areas remain off until city-specific review is complete.
Being listed in a state tax tool does not mean every city follows the same rules. For city-run tax areas, BorrowHive needs city-specific answers about whether short-term tool rentals are taxable, whether the 36 months or less tax-paid item rule applies, what proof owners need, what charges are taxable, and how BorrowHive must file.
Checkout uses the possession or delivery location, not only the owner address, renter billing address, or BorrowHive headquarters address.
