Troubleshooting BorrowHive identity verification
This article explains BorrowHive product behavior. It is not legal or tax advice, and it is not a safety guarantee.
BorrowHive uses a secure identity verification flow for verified-person checks. If you cannot finish verification, your BorrowHive account may show pending, action required, rejected, expired, or manual review.
Common Issues
- Camera permission is blocked in your browser or mobile app.
- The device does not support the camera step.
- The ID image is blurry, cropped, expired, damaged, or unsupported.
- The name or date of birth cannot be read clearly from the ID.
- The session expired or was opened from a stale link.
- Verification consent was declined.
- The account needs duplicate-account or manual support review.
- Verification processing is taking longer than usual.
- You did not receive the verification link or opened the link from a stale browser tab.
- The mobile app returned to BorrowHive but the verification status did not refresh after app resume.
Try a supported phone camera, clean the ID surface, use steady lighting, disable browser privacy extensions that block camera access, and restart from the BorrowHive verification page if the session expired.
If you never received the link, start again from BorrowHive rather than forwarding old links. If the mobile app returns to BorrowHive without updating the status, reopen the Profile security or payouts tab and use Refresh. If that still fails, contact support from the app or email support@borrowhive.com without attaching ID images or selfies.
Do not send ID photos, selfies, or full document numbers through normal support forms, email, chat, or messages. Support can review the status and may ask you to start a new verification session or wait for manual review.
Identity verification is separate from asset-label location checks and inventory labels. Verified-person status is not a background check, not a credit check, not a guarantee of safe behavior, and not a BorrowHive endorsement.
